Continued Success for Kerry
Kerry has retained ranking of #19 in the 2024 Global Destination Sustainability Movement (GDS-Movement) Index. With thanks to Kerry Convention Bureau & Meet in Ireland, here are some of the details which have contributed to the region's continued success in this global destination sustainability index:

☘️ Sixth consecutive year in Top 20
☘️ Benchmarked against 99 destinations including 10 NEW destinations
☘️ In a competitive global space, dominated by large cities, a metropolis and a megacity, we retained our position of #1 Irish destination as per the Index

☘️ Our tourism industry Sustainability Sub-Committee members collaborate to capture and report on industry led sustainability innovation which forms an important part of the annual Global Destination Index Sustainability submission, as it underpins and reinforces the collective and county wide commitment and focus on regenerative tourism. Stakeholders across the tourism industry including Kerry Airport, non profit organisations, community groups, public and private sector organisations and businesses are involved in this co-ordinated process, including Munster Technological University, Kerry County Council.
☘️ The redeveloped discoverkerry.com website and unified place brand as part of the Marketing Kerry Partnership (Kerry County Council, Tech Industry Alliance & Kerry Tourism Industry Federation) is an excellent example of how we use a collective platform to showcase Kerry as a world-class business events destination where inspiration, innovation and excellence converge with the warmest welcome.

☘️ In Kerry, we rise together and we are thrilled that across the island of Ireland, all of our fellow Convention Bureaux of Ireland colleagues are represented in the Top 40 - it is an incredible achievement to see all our regions represented and ranked alongside key MICE destinations across the world - this is testament to the collective mission we are all undertaking to put Ireland on the map as a green business events destination of choice:
